Five Pancras Square wins Sustainability Project of the Year

Building Awards 2015

The new 15-storey headquarters building for Camden Council has won the prestigious Building Magazine award for Sustainability Project of the Year.

The office building – not the largest on this much-lauded North London development, but one of the most complex – was one of the leading schemes in the country for its green credentials upon its completion in 2014.

Designed with Bennetts Associates Architects for developers Kier Group, the hub includes offices alongside leisure facilities and a library, and has achieved a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating, one of the first inner-city buildings to do so. Sustainable features include low glazing ratios and an energy-efficient ventilation system.
