AKT II fundraises £17,971 for charity.

AKTII Chariteam.

AKT II has concluded a successful year of charitable fundraising, with the team coming together for events like our Christmas Jumper Day and the annual Charity Raffle, raising an impressive £8,732. Thanks to the generosity of staff and company donation matching, this latest effort brings the total amount raised in 2024 to £17,971.

The funds will support four significant charities: Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), Cancer Research UK (CRUK), St Mungo’s, and Samaritans. Each organisation plays a vital role in providing essential services, from medical aid and cancer research to homelessness support and mental health crisis assistance.

These fundraising efforts would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and generosity of everyone at AKT II. Special thanks go to the AKT II Chariteam for organising the initiative and ensuring its success. Events like these continue to bring people together and make a real difference to the causes they support.

Earlier in the year, AKT II staff took fundraising to a whole new level—literally. Five team members abseiled 16 storeys down the White Collar Factory as part of a charity challenge in support of University College London Hospitals Charity, which funds patient care, staff training, equipment, and vital research.

The AKT II team joined 91 others in the challenge and raised over £2,500 in the process. Engineer William Collier-Jones, who took part, said:

“It was a great thing to be a part of. We managed to raise a lot of money to help make a big difference, and for me, it was a great chance to face my fear of heights!”
