As a diverse and inclusive workplace, AKT II recognises the importance of raising awareness and support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
This month, as part of #Pride 2021, we are supporting the Albert Kennedy Trust (akt) charity to raise vital funds to support their work in ending LGBTQIA+ youth homelessness.
24% of homeless young people identify as LGBTQIA+. Once homeless, young LGBTQIA+ individuals are more likely to face violence and discrimination, which can take a huge toll on mental and physical health.
akt helps young people aged 16–25 in the UK to stay safe in a crisis, find emergency accommodation, access specialist support and give them the tools to achieve life goals.
We are proud to support Pride, akt and share acronyms with this invaluable charity.
Together, we can support and celebrate one another.
