One of our founding directors, Hanif Kara, attended an event to commemorate the 14th cycle of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture at the Delfina Foundation organised by the patrons of the Aga Khan Museum.
First established in 1977, the Aga Khan Award for Architecture happens every three years, where a project is awarded for ‘setting new standards of excellence in architecture, planning practices, historic preservation and landscape architecture.’
At an exclusive event last night, a special preview presentation showcased the twenty projects shortlisted for this award cycle. Following this, there was a panel discussion with Farrokh Derakhshani, Director of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, Farshid Moussavi, architect and founder of Farshid Moussavi Architecture at Delfina Foundation and co-founder of our practice, Design Director Hanif Kara who has been a member of the award’s steering committee since 2014.
‘It is always remarkable how every cycle manages to find work of excellence that shapes our future’ – Hanif Kara on the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
