1. Shelley McNamara - Grafton Architects

Shelley McNamara came in earlier in the month to sit down with one of our design directors, Marta Galiñanes-García. As co-founder of Grafton Architects, we have had the pleasure to work with her practice on a number of projects such as Kingston University Town House and LSE’s Marshal Building.

2. OneWorks

OneWorks is a global design and consultancy firm, offering an integrated approach to architecture, infrastructure and urban engineering. Leonardo Cavalli, Founder and Managing Partner, and Lucas London, Associate Director, visited our Cambridge director Nicola Carniato at our London office in June.

3. Edward Denison and Dawit Abraha - Asmara Project

Guests Edward Denison, Associate Professor at the Bartlett School of Architecture, and Dawit Abraha, Assistant Project Coordinator of the Asmara Heritage Project – a project that aims in ascribing value to Asmara’s heritage, came to visit our offices.

4. Marco Poletto and Claudia Pasquero – ecoLogicStudio

Co-founders of ecoLogicStudio, an architectural and urban design practice which specialises in environmental design, came in to visit Hanif Kara and discuss the recent evolution of their practice’s research.

5. Dr. Yael Reisner

Architectural designer, researcher and author, Dr. Reisner came in to discuss and share ideas with our p.art team (applied research team) following the release of her latest book, ‘Beauty Matters: Human Judgement and the Pursuit of New Aesthetics in Post-digital Architecture’.

6. Treasury Away Day 2019

Organised by the Treasury’s Deputy Director of Housing, Planning and Cities alongside Sadie Morgan, director and founder of dRMM, we were pleased to host the Treasury’s Away Day at our office in June. A great gathering of Housing and Planning professionals!

7. Takenaka Corporation

It was a pleasure to welcome Takenaka Corporation, Japan’s leading architecture, engineering and construction firm, into our offices.

8. The National Infrastructure Commission

We hosted a workshop for the National Infrastructure Commission to exchange ideas about the future of infrastructure in the UK.

9. Students from IE School of Architecture & Design

Part of a month-long visit to the UK, masters students came into our offices to discuss the connection between design and research in engineering.
